SuperClaude (23k+ stars) is a pip-installed configuration framework that enhances Claude Code with specialized commands (/sc:analyze, /sc:implement, /sc:troubleshoot...), cognitive personas that bias the agent toward a discipline, and structured development methodologies. Installed globally with pipx, then registered into Claude Code with one command. One of the most-starred Claude Code enhancement projects.

What it does

  • Framework adding ~30 `/sc:` slash commands to Claude Code (research, brainstorm, analyze, build...)
  • Python package installed via pipx; `superclaude install` wires commands into Claude Code
  • Optional bundled MCP servers (`superclaude mcp`) extend capabilities like Tavily research

When to use it

Structured workflows on top of Claude Code: `/sc:research` for deep research, `/sc:brainstorm` for structured ideation — commands encode prompts + tool orchestration.

Getting started

pipx install superclaude
superclaude install          # installs all ~30 slash commands
superclaude mcp              # optional: install bundled MCP servers
superclaude doctor           # verify

Restart Claude Code afterwards.

Things to know

v4.x uses slash commands — the TypeScript plugin system from older docs is not yet available (planned for v5). `superclaude install` writes into your Claude Code config; review with `install --list`.
