ElevenLabs MCP

ElevenLabs' official MCP server for text-to-speech, voice cloning, and audio transcription.

MCP Serversaudiottsofficialelevenlabs

ElevenLabs' official MCP server. Lets Claude speak responses, transcribe audio, clone voices, and trigger sound effects inside any MCP-aware agent. Pairs naturally with Computer Use for voice-driven UI demos.

What it does

  • Official ElevenLabs MCP: TTS, voice cloning, audio transcription, sound effects
  • DEPRECATED upstream — superseded by the hosted server at https://api.elevenlabs.io/v1/mcp (OAuth, nothing to install)
  • Local version still runnable: uvx elevenlabs-mcp + ELEVENLABS_API_KEY

When to use it

Today you almost certainly want the hosted server — connect your client to api.elevenlabs.io/v1/mcp and skip local setup entirely. The local package only makes sense if you must pin the old tool surface.

Getting started

Hosted (recommended): point your MCP client at https://api.elevenlabs.io/v1/mcp — OAuth, no local install.

Legacy local:
{
  "command": "uvx",
  "args": ["elevenlabs-mcp"],
  "env": { "ELEVENLABS_API_KEY": "..." }
}

Things to know

Repo banner says it plainly: deprecated and no longer maintained. Local version also needs the `uv` toolchain (spawn uvx ENOENT = uv not on PATH) and burns ElevenLabs credits per call.
